Privacy policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

Who is responsible for your information

The InspectionGPP site is operated by Groupe Perreault Poirier Inc. In accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, the person with the highest authority within the company acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information.

For any question or to exercise your rights, use the request form at the bottom of this page. It goes directly to the person in charge.

The information we collect

When you fill in a form, we collect what you choose to provide: name, email, phone, municipality, address and property details, the service requested, deadline and message. If you're a broker, we also collect your agency's name and your client's name, with confirmation that your client consented.

To protect the forms against abuse, we keep a truncated version of your IP address, which cannot identify you. We collect no sensitive information and never ask for identity documents.

Why we use it

Your information is used only to process your request: review it, pass it on to an accredited inspector in your region and provide reasonable follow-up. It's never sold, rented or used for advertising or profiling.

We collect only the information needed for these purposes. Optional fields really are optional: your request will be processed even if you leave them blank.

Your consent

By ticking the consent box, you agree that your information will be used for the purposes described above and passed on to an inspector in your region. When a broker sends us a request for a client, they must confirm they obtained the client's consent; the request is refused without that confirmation.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the form at the bottom of this page. Withdrawal ends the processing of your request.

Who can access it

Only the people who process requests within the company and the inspector to whom your request is assigned can access your information, and only as needed. The inspector uses it to contact you and perform the service, and is also required to protect it.

We don't disclose any information to other third parties unless the law requires it.

Hosting and disclosure outside Québec

Requests are stored on our web host's servers, in a protected location that isn't publicly accessible. If those servers are located outside Québec, this disclosure is governed as the law provides, notably through a privacy impact assessment and contractual protection commitments.

Cookies and tools

The site uses no advertising cookies or audience measurement tools, and embeds no third-party service that would track your browsing. Fonts are hosted on our own servers.

Our host may set a temporary technical cookie used only to block malicious bots. The risk checker in our broker tools runs in your browser: what you enter is never sent to us.

Retention period

Requests are kept for no more than 24 months after receipt, the time needed to process the request and provide reasonable follow-up. They are then destroyed automatically by the system, with no manual step.

If you withdraw your consent or ask for your information to be deleted, it's destroyed without waiting for that deadline, unless the law requires it to be kept.

Security and confidentiality incidents

Requests are stored in files that can't be viewed from a browser, and server access is limited to authorized people. All browsing on the site is encrypted.

In the event of a confidentiality incident, we take steps to reduce the risk of harm, record the incident in the register required by law and, if it presents a risk of serious harm, notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned.

Your rights

You can ask to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, have it provided to you in a structured, commonly used technological format, and ask that its dissemination stop. We reply in writing within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our reply, you can contact Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page; any significant change is flagged there.
